Stretch Yourself; Its Worth it

I know most of us are struggling and we want to give up in building ourselves. The struggle worth it, the stretches worth it. There is always light at the end of the tunnel and it is the hardship that makes it worthwhile.

I know there are series of questions going on in our mind. Have I not tried enough? Have I not stretched myself enough? It doesn't worth it any longer. Stretching yourself bridge the gap between delayed gratification and Instant gratification.

Okay, are you idle? Are you still unemployed? Have you been disappointed by the current economic situation? Do you want to be the best in your work? Then, if your answer to one of these questions is yes, you need to stretch yourself. Stretching yourself involves building capacity. You are thinking of how to build capacity, here are the few ways you can;

1. Reading Books: it has been observed that the kind of person you will become in five years time, depends on the books you read. Spend your time reading personal development books. It will open your eyes to many problems and how they can be solved. It will also help you to have knowledge about different taughts in different dimensions. Here are suggestions of books you can read; Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill), Rich Dad Poor Dad( Robert Kiyosaki), You can Win (Khiv Sheera), Why Nation Fails, The Power of Habits (Charles Duhigg), Step to Step procedure to effective Public Speaking (Dale Carnegie), Destiny (T.D Jakes) and many...

2. Taking Courses Online: Education has become more open...a decade ago, that you can be exposed to different schools and materials through the internet. Find and take course online in your area of work and keep developing. The space in your brain is large enough to take all those stuffs. Just keep learning. Here are some sites you can take courses. https://yali.state.gov/courses/  https://learndigital.withgoogle.com/digitalskills/

3. Meet People and Build Your Network: Every weekend, I and my Cousin try as much as possible to attend seminars, workshops or meetings. People sometimes see us as stupid but we are actually stretching ourselves to meet more valuable people and strike relationship with them. Remember, your network is your networth. The person seated next to you in the seminar hall, might be all you need to grow your idea. Also, people you meet expose you to opportunities such as fellowships and Voluntary work.

4. Impact your Community: most of us do not appreciate little things that we can do. The little things you do can take you places. You can organize online seminars, workshops. Talk to high school students within your area on leadership. You can help in community development service projects and many. These little things can help you build capacity for global opportunities.

Ultimately, I do not want you to rant about you not being lucky, create your own luck, stretch yourself and hold on...because you got a great future ahead. "Increase your capacity to receive what is destined to happen." If you believe! If you can see the invisible, you can do the impossible. You may have to stretch yourself or enlarge your circle of associates. You may have to expose yourself beyond your comfort zone or speak when you are naturally introverted. Stretch yourself; its worth it~ TD Jakes. Hence, challenge the normal in you and stretch yourself beyond normal
