I am Back!

Ding ding! I got a notification mid last month that my domain name got expired. I had a lot on my desk that I couldn't get it back to work until recently. Now I am back and better.

I will like to share with you what you have missed throughout September. September has been super amazing. It was filled with so much positivity. Getting some speaking gigs as well as got some amazing opportunities.

In September, I made it to the second round of a prestigious fellowship programme in Nigeria and not only that, I got my first grant, a mini grant from Peace First, an International NGO that supports and empower young change makers to carryout a peacemaking project. It was a great and rare privilege to execute Skill2Rural Bootcamp with the fund. The first of its kind in Olambe - Matogun Community, a rural community in Nigeria that empowered 90 students and 10 teachers on 21st Century skills such as creativity, complex problem solving using design thinking. Participants created 10 prototypes to problem they face within their community. I can't be more proud than these.

I was also invited to talk at a popular Radio Station in Lagos on "The Right to Peace" and I was also selected as a Global Goodwill Ambassador for promoting the Sustainable Development Goals and Ensuring that children in rural communities have access to quality education.

The same September, I made it to the semi final of a Young Professionals Business Plan Competition for 5 Million Naira Seed Funding. I was one of the 10 selected out of over 500 theplatform Young Professionals Bootcamp Alumni. Though I didn't win, it was an amazing experience to learn from other young professionals.

I also travelled to Abuja to attend the Repositioning Summit and also met with the Special Adviser to the Senate President on NGO's, who represent over 180 million Nigerians. I and group of champions presented the findings from the Citizens Reports Initiative to monitor the implementation of the SDGs.

After my return from Abuja, I attended the Elevate Your Game event organized by a thought Leader "Oyindamola Johnson" and it was a moment to rekindled my dreams and reviewing it.

September came to an end with a speaking gig at Sea School, where I shared leadership values with young people. One key take away from that event was. To achieve what you want to achieve, you have to sacrifice and pay your dues. Sometime things will not change for you, until you move out of your comfort zone.

September hasn't ended and October seems more promising. I was featured in a directory of 50 young change makers championing the Global Goals in local communities in Nigeria in recognition of the work that we do at KLCA to ensure children in rural communities develop life skills and have access to quality education. We were recognized by the German Embassy, Hacey Health, Australian High Commission, Nigerian Youth SDGs Network Etc.

It seems I had all things going on for me! It's because I understood the Journey. I didn't do these alone! We all did it together. With consistency, patience, courage and persistence! All things are possible.

Some important tips and lessons;

1. To succeed you have to try and ensure you execute! Eric Thomas said, "You will not be rewarded for trying but execution" There are no shortcut to success you have to work so hard.

2. You have to sacrifice! In the space of nothing I got this website up and running again. I never abandoned it. People didn't bother to ask about it or ask why I haven't been posting on it, because it isn't their dream. It is mine. I wake up for my dreams every single day! I hustle for my dreams.

3. Greatness is within you, when you believe. When you also surround yourself with greatness, you have no other choice than to be great.

Thank you for reading and glad to have you all back!

Got some amazing stuffs for us all these October!

It can only get better.
